Homework Pass Winners!

Congratulations to Kira R., Michael M., and Raj!

Here were the answers:

1. You are a cyclist in a cross-country race. Just before the crossing finish line you overtake the person in second place! What place did you finish in?

You would be in second place, taking over the person second in race would make you still be behind the person that is first, making you second.

2. In a year there are 12 months. 7 months have 31 days. How many months have 28 days?

All the months have 28 days, and some have more. There is one month with exactly 28 days too.

3. A plane crashes on the border of the U.S. and Canada. Where do they bury the survivors?

There would be no reason to bury survivors, seeing that they "survived" the plane crash and so they are not dead.

4. What are the next 3 letters in the following sequence?
J, F, M, A, M, J, J, A, __, __, __

S, O, N... the letters were the first letter of all the months, and so after "A" August would come September, October, November
